Welcome to the weekend, fair Weekenders! If you own a house, cheers to you. If you don’t, you are most likely moving this weekend. Where to? Probably within a couple of blocks from where you live now.
Why? Why do we do this? I don’t know, tradition, I guess.

The Prids, Soft Tags live at the Yacht Club (VIDEO)

The Prids and Soft Tags, both hailing from the Pacific Northwest, gave us plenty of reason to get out of the heat and into The Yacht Club with back-to-back high energy sets of indie rock. The students may have shipped out for the summer months, but that hasn’t kept Iowa City from rocking with bells on, and we have the video to prove it.

Too Old to Stay Home, Too Young to Rock
The Haps: June/July 2010 ~ Well, underage kids: The party is over. June 1st is here, and depending on who you ask, it means either the end of live music as we know it or that things are going to be basically the same. Only time will tell, I suppose, but I tend to agree […]

Brooklyn’s The Shondes shacked up at The Blue Moose Tap House Friday to kick off an excellent weekend for Iowa City’s music enthusiasts. Though we struggle to recall any Iowa City weekend that hasn’t oozed countless of watts of live music bliss, the East coast foursome got things started properly by launching into full set […]

The looper, reggae and hip hop artist drew a nice crowd despite the looming week of finals that awaited University of Iowa students. With […]
