Iowa City Weekender: April 22-25

Greetings, Weekenders!

Are you ready for Riverfest? Yes, it’s already time for another big music festival, and this one’s got tons of daytime stuff for the whole family too! Which reminds me: Please join my cause! If the IC City Council wants to make the bars 21 only, don’t you think they should be required to provide bumper cars for everyone else, year round? Me too! Do your part by calling IC Mayor Matt Hayek today! Find all his contact info here

Anyway, Riverfest is April 21-25th, events are all over downtown, and there’s tons of live music, carnival games and rides, food and fun for the whole family.

SATURDAY NIGHT Local reggae superstars Public Property, whose members have largely parted ways and moved on to new projects, get together this Saturday at the Yacht Club.  The $10 admission might complicate things, but Public Props at the ICYC is generally an easy good time.
