Marion’s City Square Park hosts the Marion Arts Festival (MAF) this Saturday, May 16 as it enters it’s 23rd year. With over 12,000 visitors expected to attend this year, MAF director Deb Bailey attributes much of the longevity and success of to the tight focus of the event, which is embodied in its mission: “No Bands. Exhibit to feature artwork by Iowa City youth

What a Load of Craft returns for Mission Creek
There was much lamenting, stitching and bitching this past December when it was announced that Iowa City’s homegrown indie/punk craft fair, What a Load of Craft (WALOC), wouldn’t take place. But this Saturday, WALOC returns, now for the first time as part of the 2015 Mission Creek Festival.
