Riverside Jam After Party

Gabe’s — Sunday, May 10 beginning at 10 p.m.

Riverside Jam returns for its fourth year this Sunday, May 10, with a day of musical performances and art exhibits at City Park’s Riverside Festival Stage.

Starting at 12 p.m. and continuing into the evening, more than a dozen bands will perform, including Iowa City’s psychedelic dance-rockers Zeta June and Soul Phlegm, a local folk-rock band. Alongside the musical acts, artwork by area artists and galleries will be on display. Attendees can participate in activities like painting, dance, yoga and hula-hooping.

In addition to providing entertainment, the festival — presented by Axiom Nation — aims to raise awareness around issues of global hunger and environmental sustainability. Event organizers are encouraging attendees to bring canned goods, which will be donated to the Crisis Center of Johnson County, along with all other proceeds.

Following the festival at 10 p.m., Gabe’s will host an after party ($5 admission) with music by Mighty Shady and another set by Zeta June to close out the night.

Admission to the festival is $10 or 10 canned goods.
