Bella Sala Brew Grass Festival

Bella Sala Event Center — Saturday, April 25 at 4 p.m.

Beer and bluegrass will harmonize this weekend for the inaugural Bella Sala Brew Grass Festival at the Bella Sala Event Center in Tiffin.

Chad Atherton, festival promoter and regional market manager for Founders Brewing Company, credits the renaissance of craft beer in Iowa and the heritage of bluegrass in the Mississippi and Missouri Valley as the inspiration for the festival’s theme.

Atherton says that the festival has partnered with local beer distributor Fleck Sales in selecting the 18 breweries and more than 60 beers that will be available on tap, including Peace Tree Brewery’s award-winning Blonde Fatale. Other breweries at the festival include Oskar Blues, New Belgium, Empyrean, Angry Orchard and Founders.

The Grammy-nominated bluegrass group Infamous Stringdusters will headline the festival along with other local and national acts like Henhouse Prowlers and Evergreen Grass Band.

After the festival ends at 10:30 p.m., festivities will continue at the Iowa City Yacht Club with bands Frank F. Sidney’s Western Bandit Volunteers and the Cedar County Cobras. A shuttle will be available from Bella Sala to Iowa City after the festivities in Tiffin end.

Tickets are available online or may be purchased at the event. Designated driver, general admission and VIP ticket packages range from $20 to $75. Admission to the Yacht Club after party costs $5.
