Last weekend I ping-ponged back and forth between Gabe’s Halloween show and the one at the Blue Moose. Another Wednesday at PS1 brought another great band to the KRUI airwaves. This week, I had the pleasure of hearing the Tribal Momentum. This four-piece reminded me of some of the great jam bands of the late 90s, but I wouldn’t label them as a jam band proper. They’re better than that.

The Mill was packed on Sunday for the sophomore edition of the Roast of Iowa City. There was hardly an empty seat since people poured in eager to hear the dirty, hysterical truth about the city we love(hate) so much. The Roasters didn’t just get butts in the seats, they also kept the laughter flowing like cold tap beer.
