Portland’s System and Station and the more local rock group Modern Day Satire–based in Des Moines–came by Gabe’s this weekend to play us some music. The show was a nice cherry on top of an otherwise action-packed Iowa City weekend, of which the Iowa City Pride Parade and Festival was the centerpiece, and we have plenty of video for you to sink your teeth into.

Coming up first was the fast-paced System and Station, a seasoned Oregonian rock band who’ve 20 national tours under their belt. Give them a listen below, and visit the Little Village Youtube channel for more if you find yourself craving more West Coast indie rock.

Closing out the show was Modern Day Satire, whose soaring melodic rock songs were impressive to say the least. This fresh-faced band from Central Iowa were a pleasure to watch, so be sure to check out the video below.

As always, more video can be found in the Little Village Youtube Channel, along with hundreds of other clips to dive into.
