Thursday, April 4 // 9:00 p.m. // Gabe’s Pallbearer w. Big Box, Blizzard at Sea, Sweet Chariot
Pallbearer brings their crushing brand of doom-metal to this year’s Mission Creek Festival for a show at Gabe’s on Thursday, April 4. Since the release last year of their first full-length studio album, Sorrow and Extinction, they have become one of the most well-respected metal acts in the country.
Singer Brett Campbell’s Ozzy-esque vocals accentuate the rest of the band’s layered instrumental work, adding some extra punch to that wallowing sense of dread doom metal fans know so well. Even if you’re not a re not a doom metal super-fan, music enthusiasts of all kinds will likely appreciate the level of technical skill Pallbearer put on display.
