Letter to the editor: ‘We need Susan’s talent and leadership’ on the Iowa City Council

Susan Mims — Still by Jason Smith

By Rick Fosse

I would like to express my complete and enthusiastic support to re-elect Susan Mims in the Nov. 7 City Council election. I have had the unique opportunity to observe Susan’s leadership from inside the organization in my role as Public Works Director and then, after retirement, from outside the organization. From both vantage points I was and am impressed with her knowledge of our community, decision making and long-term view. Measuring her against other council members over the past 33 years, I can say that Susan is among the best. We need Susan’s talent and leadership now more than ever. Please join me in voting to re-elect Susan Mims.
