I will be supporting Jon Green for Johnson County Supervisor in the June 2 primary. Jon was raised on an Iowa farm and currently lives on his farm near Lone Tree. His leadership on land use, the environment, and clean water for the past 5 years on the Board of Supervisors is why I will be voting for him.

Green’s farm background informs his decisions to preserve farm land and prevent sprawl; he continues to uphold the values of the Johnson County Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

When Republicans cut funding to measure nitrates in our rivers and streams, Jon, working with other counties, secured funding for the nitrate measuring system for one more year. Green knows the value of clean water on the farm, in our homes and from our wells.

Re-elect Supervisor Jon Green in District 2 on June 2.
