Well, hello there. A little update from your What a Load of Craft posse. The winter brings the crafters of the world a good chance to hibernate and get to work. Currently I am wrapping up my winter projects and looking forward to making spring wear and spring wares.
Last night I worked on a few valentine’s themed projects. I have piled all of my clothing in my sewing piles according to bobbin thread color. So I reached into the red pile and pulled these out. Each item got its own special amount of attention, and each item still needs to be pressed!
DRESS #1 Country sweetheart:
I shortened this dress, and then using fabric from the bottom, made cuffs for a different looking shorter sleeve.

DRESS #2: Casual sweetheart:
I shortened this tunic and used the leftovers to make a waistband. I then added vintage lace across the chest.

It's easy to make beaded fabric using either vintage clothes that are upcycled or recycled into new garments, or by adding beads to fabric before or during the construction of the garment.
