Missouri garage-rockers Radkey are swinging back into Iowa City for another round at Gabe’s on Saturday, Dec. 12. With hints of the Melvins mixed with a bit of a John Doe vibe, these home-schooled brothers sound like the best version of everyone’s 20s. They first brought their grunge-y punk to Gabe’s back in September (check out LV’s interview with bassist Isaiah Radke!).

Earthy vocals from eldest brother Dee Radke keep the trippy tunes grounded, while the instruments tear through a tribute to their punk predecessors. Don’t miss this latest chance to check them out, as they continue to tour in support of their first LP, Dark Black Makeup. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $10 and are available online.

Genevieve Trainor lives in Iowa City, Iowa. Passions include heavy music, hoppy beer, and hidden rooms.
