The University of Iowa Pentacrest was packed with fans of all ages on Friday, gathered to see Canadian pop punk band Simple Plan with surf rockers Wavves opening. The annual free concert is a staple of the University’s week of homecoming celebrations.
Wavves played songs from each of their three full-length albums and got the crowd moving, taking time to interact and joke with the crowd between songs. Simple Plan had the crowd jumping and singing along to hits from the band’s double platinum album No Pads, No Helmets … Just Balls.
