There will be no street parking in downtown Iowa City on Linn from College Street to Washington Street starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, as crews begin preparing the site for Iowa City Pride. The festival kicks off at noon on Saturday.

The following streets will be closed for Iowa City Pride starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday.

  • Washington Street from Gilbert to Clinton, westbound
  • Linn Street from Iowa Avenue to the alley north of the library, southbound

All those streets are scheduled to reopen early Sunday morning.

  • North on Johnson Street, starting at College Green Park
  • West on Iowa Avenue
  • South on Clinton Street
  • East on Washington Street
  • South on Linn Street
  • East on College Street, ending at College Green Park

On-street parking along the parade route will resume after the parade ends.
