Pete Swanson w. Ital, Container, Cuticle
Pete Swanson is, in a word, experimental. His music is a mash-up of industrial noise, pulsing electronic dance music and pure, minimalist expressionism. He draws from a varied and complex pool of musical subcultures, resulting in a product that often transcends more well-established music genres.

Sound interesting? You can catch Swanson’s unique brand of music at the Yacht Club on Saturday, April 6.

Swanson’s style might be aptly compared to that of Tim Hecker, electro-wiz and Mission Creek Festival veteran. Not unlike Hecker’s 2012 Mission Creek performance at Iowa City’s First United Methodist Church, Swanson’s show is sure to be a something special. Consider putting it on your to-see list, and in the mean time, be sure to check out Swanson’s brand of experimental music below.
“If you want to take what I do seriously, go ahead… If you think it’s a waste of time, that’s fine. You’re not getting in my way or hurting my feelings.” Great interview with Pete Swanson on Tiny Mix Tapes.Ears Have Ears: Unexplored Territories In Sound
