JEFF the Brotherhood w. Pujol, The Olympics
Mission Creek Festival // Iowa City // April 2-7, 2013

Post-Grunge rockers JEFF the Brotherhood play the Mill Thursday, April 4. Their songs take listeners back to a time when guitar solos backed by heavy distortion, thick reverb and catchy lyrical hooks were the norm. Brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall definitely draw from the success of bands like Weezer and Dinosaur Jr, but they do so in a way that is anything but purely imitative in nature.

If you ever longed for a band to have a sound that is a little bit Weezer, a little bit Foo Fighters, and a little bit all it’s own thing then you should listen to Jeff the Brotherhood Hypnotic Nights. After that, you should listen to their other albums. These guys are really awesome. Two people in the band, the singer/Guitar player only plays with three strings! Come on people! Fan-tastic!Wesley Schlagenhauf
An at-times psychedelic, garage-band-style duo whose sound is often compared to Blue Album-era Weezer are playing a show at the Mill? Yeah, you can count me in.
