Corridor Community Action Network (CCAN) is proud to endorse the Johnson County Conservation Bond. As an organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life for all residents of the Iowa Corridor, CCAN believes that investing in our natural environment is essential for building a healthy, resilient and equitable community.

We know such investments pay off. The 2008 bond was transformative for Johnson County. It allowed us to preserve over 1,000 acres of land, build new trails and protect vital ecosystems. The 2024 bond will build on this success, thereby enhancing the quality of life for all residents. Studies consistently show that access to nature improves both mental and physical well-being. Clean water, green spaces and thriving wildlife make the Corridor a healthier, more vibrant place to live.

Supporting this bond aligns with CCAN’s mission by ensuring that everyone in the community has access to clean water, safe public lands and opportunities to experience and enjoy our natural surroundings. Preserving and expanding these spaces will provide long-term benefits for public health, recreation and our local ecosystem, while supporting a safe and sustainable environment for future generations.

We believe this bond will make a lasting impact on the lives of everyone who calls the Corridor home, and we encourage you to flip your ballot over and vote YES on the Johnson County Conservation Bond.
