FilmScene — Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
FilmScene has announced the latest installment of the Vino Vérité film series. Uncertain, a documentary about three men living on the margins in Uncertain, Texas screens at FilmScene on Sunday, December 13 at 7 p.m. The film is the winner of several awards including the Albert Maysles New Documentary Director Award at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.
The Vino Vérité film series features new voices and established filmmakers in the verite in-person tradition. The films and directors selected are chosen for their thought-provoking work. The goal is to allow the audience to engage with an artist in an intimate and comfortable setting. FilmScene says this particular Vino Vérité event will feature at least one of the film’s two directors, though exact details are still TBA.
The film series is presented by FilmScene, Little Village and Bread Garden Market. The screening of each film is preceded by a wine tasting and once the film has concluded a discussion with the filmmaker begins.
Tickets ($25 public/$20 for members) are available to FilmScene members today and will be made available to the public Friday starting at noon.
