H. Jon Benjamin and Jon Glaser to join David Cross at Mission Creek 2012

The Mission Creek Festival announced this morning that frequent collaborators H. Jon Benjamin and Jon Glaser will join David Cross at Mission Creek 2012. This lineup is not part of a tour or anything, just something these friends putting together for us here in Iowa City.

If you are a fan of cartoons for grownups, you are probably familiar with Comedy Central’s Freak Show, created by Benjamin and Cross and featuring writing and voice acting by Glaser. Lots of clips from Freak Show are available on Comedy Central, Here.

You may also know H. Jon Benjamin from the animated series, Archer, in which Benjamin stars as “suave masterspy” Sterling Archer. Archer is on the FX Network, where a new season is set to premier this Thursday, January 19. I am not going to attempt to defend the humor here, but enjoy!

Jon Glaser is a comedy writer and actor with too many credits to list here, but they include Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and, my personal favorite, Human Giant.

This performance is slated for March 30, at the Englert Theatre. All access festival passes are available now at midwestix.com, or at the Englert Theatre box office. Presales for individual shows including this one are already underway.
