My Name is Rachel Corrie is a one act, one woman show, which uses the writings of American activist, Rachel Corrie, to tell her part in the broader struggle for justice for Palestine. Rachel’s life and the words she left behind give us a portrait of what it means to care about others, and the lengths we should all be willing to go to in order to create a better world.
The second act will feature original works by local Palestinian artists, and will be followed by a moderated talk back with the audience to discuss the performance, as well as what our community can do to help the Palestinian cause.
This production is in collaboration with Iowans for Palestine, Iowa City Action for Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace Eastern Iowa, and HOPE Foundation.
Doors will open 30 mins before each performance.
Concessions will be available, but audiences are also welcome to bring their own refreshments.
