Polyamory works wonders for one Cedar Rapids couple
When Cinna Lewis’s husband gets home from a date, she’s the first one to ask how it went. It bolsters the friendship side of their marriage, she says, a marriage that has flourished for 10 years, this May. Cinna had no intention of ever getting married until, at 32, she reconnected with an old Cedar Rapids Washington High classmate, Beau Lewis.

Directors and actors are often left to prescribe or improvise this blocking, but, much like a bumbled fight scene, poor communication and choreography can lead to
Coral Ridge Mall is adding an H&M
While it’s not the strongest era for brick-and-mortar shopping centers (including in eastern Iowa), Coral Ridge Mall is adding a new store to its ranks. H&M will open in the current Eddie Bauer space, near the center of the mall and across from Bath & Body Works, according to Coral Ridge Mall’s senior general manager Monica Nadeau.
Eat like your favorite 2020 candidate
Due to an influx of aspiring presidents every four years, many classic Iowa foods have been imbued with politics, from Iowa State Fair pork on a stick to Hamburg Inn pie shakes — even ranch! But Iowa has more to offer than the Midwest staples consumed on-camera by candidates pandering to the nation’s first caucusers. As White House

Cedar Rapids writer Lyz Lenz interviewed in ‘The Daily Show’ segment about Iowa Caucus
Why is Iowa first? The question is ubiquitous during the presidential election season, and was the subject of a segment on Wednesday night’s episode of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. In that nearly six-minute segment, Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper dons a winter coat and heads to Des Moines and the surrounding cities to

Make it a meowy Christmas and a happy howliday for animals at the Iowa City shelter
Reindeer are better than people, and so are cats and dogs. And in the season of giving, they deserve to be rewarded for it. Once again, the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center is inviting the public to meet their residents and shower them with gifts at the Holiday with the Hounds open house, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. this Saturday. Don’t bother reading this review, just go see ‘Parasite’ at FilmScene
I want to gush about Parasite, which opens at FilmScene—The Chauncey today, but it’s one of those movies where the less you know going in, the better. Still, while you’re here, I think there are a few things I can say about Bong Joon-ho’s latest masterpiece that will, hopefully, entice you to go see it without diminishing that experience for you.
