Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) allows community members to purchase shares, or memberships, from area farms. Early-season contributions help farmers properly gauge the community’s needs and, in return, community members receive CSA shares of farm-fresh product, without paying the overhead required by retail sales. Remember that many farmers require commitments early in the season, so pick your favorite and contact an area CSA farm soon for detailed information on how to purchase shares.
