UAY’s Winter Teen Clothing Drive encourages donations from community


UAY Winter Teen Clothing Drive

UAY Youth Center, 355 Iowa Ave. — Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 4:30 – 8 p.m.

The sixth annual United Action for Youth’s (UAY) Winter Teen Clothing Drive will take place Tuesday, Dec. 6. Young people in need will be able to shop for gently used items, from professional wear to casual outfits and any of the accessories and accoutrement that one might need, completely free of charge.

Donations of clothing and other items will be accepted at the UAY center starting Monday, Nov. 28 through Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Last year, over 1,500 clothing items including coats and jeans were distributed to 262 young people through the clothing drive, according to a press release.

UAY is accepting donations of secondhand jackets, coats, shoes, jeans, shirts and accessories from community members. Donations can be dropped off at the UAY Youth Center (355 Iowa Ave.) at these times:

Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 3 from 12 p.m. through 5 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.
