Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has reportedly selected Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad’s oldest son, Eric Branstad, to head his campaign efforts in Iowa.
Branstad, a political consultant and lobbyist who previously led pro-ethanol group America’s Renewable Future, will serve as Trump’s Iowa campaign chief, according to Radio Iowa.
“I want to work with the campaign and share with Iowans what I’ve gotten to know, and that is how great of a leader and person Mr. Trump is,” Branstad told the Des Moines Register, adding that he met with Trump campaign aides in New York last week.
Branstad is currently a partner at Matchpoint Strategies, a self-described public affairs and fundraising firm based in Des Moines. His father, Gov. Branstad, is a vocal supporter of Trump.
That would be Eric Branstad, the original affluenza punk who murdered two innocoent people driving drunk and never spent an hour in jail.
He did receive a $35 fine. I’m still voting for the Donald.
