“How stupid are the people of Iowa?” asked Trump during a November rally in Fort Dodge. Well the Republican presidential nominee will have a chance to meet the good people of our state this Thursday as he hosts two rallies in eastern Iowa. The real-estate billionaire will host a Trump-for-president rally in Davenport at the Adler Theatre (136 E 3rd St) with doors opening at 1 p.m. with the rally starting at 4 p.m. Afterwards, Trump will head to Cedar Rapids for an 8 p.m. rally at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex (350 1st Ave NE). Doors open at 5 p.m.

Eric Brandstad, son of Gov. Terry Brandstad, is leading Trump’s Iowa campaign.
This is Trump’s first visit to Iowa since he finished second to Sen. Ted Cruz during the February Republican caucuses, a primary election that he called “very unfair” in an interview with Meet the Press. Now he returns as the party’s nominee and will be aiming to galvanize Iowa Republicans in a state that may prove crucial in deciding who will be the 45th president.
