Track premiere: The Lonelyhearts, ‘A Meteorologist Suspects (Don’t Tread On Me)’

Lonelyhearts 'Age of Man' out Apr. 22
“A Meteorologist Suspects” is from ‘Age of Man,” out tomorrow, Apr. 22.

The Lonelyhearts, a duo made up of Fort Collins-based guitarist John Lindenbaum and Iowa City’s Andre Perry on keyboards, is releasing their fourth full-length album tomorrow, Apr. 22. A full review of Age of Man is available in Little Village 197, currently on stands.

In advance of that release, they are premiering a track off of that album here, today. “A Meteorologist Suspects (Don’t Tread On Me)” is sonically dense, full and flush and worth listening to on repeat. A little bit shoegaze, a little bit rock and roll, the Lonelyhearts have an alt sound on this track reminiscent of early Wolf Parade. It’s a wonderful tease for the auditory treat to come.
