The Englert Theatre has announced that Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Leon Russell will hit the stage on Saturday, October 10. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 3, at 12 p.m.
The singer-songwriter/guitarist/pianist has collaborated with Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gay, the Beach Boys, Elton John, Eric Clapton and John Lennon, and is arguably one of the most versatile and accomplished living musicians. Russell’s own music trends towards gospel-drenched rock and epic romantic ballads. Elton John has called “A Song For You,” from Rusell’s first album, Leon Russell, an American classic, and it has been covered covered by no less than 50 other artists and bands.
