The annual University of Iowa Homecoming parade had to take a bit of a detour this year, but that certainly didn’t stop people from turning out to see over a hundred different floats featuring local businesses, university student groups, university faculty and alumni. Parade watchers decked out in black and gold enjoyed lively music and free treats as the festivities proceeded through downtown Iowa City before the Simple Plan and Wavves concert on the Pentacrest.
