Established 2001 | Always free!

Here are some events in our region that could provide solace and community this weekend after Election Day. In Dubuque, Annie’s Foundation is hosting a banned book giveaway, where everyone is invited to take a free copy of a book from a list of titles that were recently removed from Dubuque schools. Tomorrow in Iowa City, Audiopharmacy is heading the Great Plains Action Society’s 8th annual Truthsgiving event. The celebration states, “It is a time to hear truth from speakers about current issues and celebrate truth with music, song and dance.” The Tree of Liminality in Cedar Rapids is hosting Farmhouse Collective co-founder David Donovan’s mixed media exhibition “I’m ok, I’m ok, ok! Alright (portraits on a problem).” Check the rest of the weekender for more events, and take care.
