The Bijou Theatre (123 2nd St S.) will be screening the 1971 cult classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at noon. A parade will wind from Memorial Park Gazebo (311 1st St. NW) to the theatre prior to the showing (chocolate-themed costumes encouraged).

Musicians will be performing at the First Street Community Center (221 1st St. NE) throughout the day, starting at 10 a.m. Highlights include the Eastern Iowa Brass Band (11 a.m.) and Dale Beeks and Ben Schmidt (3 p.m.). A children’s lawn party will take over Memorial Park, complete with a balloon artist, cupcake walk and karaoke stage.
