Country music legend Loretta Lynn has postponed both of her shows in Iowa this week due to exhaustion. The Grammy Award-winning artist was scheduled to play Tuesday in Spencer, Iowa at the Clay County Regional Events Center before heading to Cedar Rapids on Wednesday to play the Paramount Theatre.

In a statement released Tuesday morning, a Lynn representative says the singer began “feeling poorly” midway through a recent Canadian tour and would not be able to make her Iowa tour dates as a result.

“Loretta is a pro and wants to give her fans the best show possible,” the representative said. “She felt she physically was unable to do that.”

Lynn is 81 years old.

Paramount Theatre is telling fans to hold onto their tickets:

Tickets purchased for the October 30 concert will be honored for the new date which is to be announced very soon. The Paramount Theatre Ticket Office will contact ticket holders once the new performance date and time have been confirmed. Patrons are requested to hold on to their tickets, as it is not necessary for ticket holders to have them reprinted for the new date.
