Lena Dunham, the creator and lead actress of the HBO series Girls, will be speaking at the Englert Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. as part of her Not That Kind of Girl book tour.

Did you snag a ticket? Let’s hope so, because this show is most definitely sold out.

Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned is a collection of personal essays written by Dunham, which includes several humorous, dark and heart-breaking stories from her past.

Dunham plays Hannah Horvath on HBO’s Girls, an aspiring writer in her twenties living in New York City. The third season ends with Hannah receiving her acceptance letter into the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, with season four set to begin in 2015.

Through her work on Girls, Dunham has been nominated for eight Emmy awards and has won two Golden Globes. She has written and directed two feature length films, created two web series and is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker.

Accompanying Dunham at the Englert will be Novelist Curtis Sittenfeld and Poet Jenny Zhang (who will now be paid, Dunham confirmed following a very public backlash). The event will be co-presented by Prairie Lights Bookstore.
