Knuckle Puck

Gabe’s — Sunday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Chicago-based rockers Knuckle Puck usually bring forth amped-up, rebellious, in-your-face music. However, their first full-length album Copacetic, slows down a notch and experiments with instrumental breaks and a new lack of urgency that isn’t familiar to the pop-punk scene. The band will stop through Gabe’s for an all ages show this Sunday evening in the midst of a nation-wide tour promoting their debut record.

Knuckle Puck’s pop-punk roots still hold true in their high-energy live performances. Sweaty fans and musicians in cramped rooms with no barricades are still exactly their style. Therefore, Iowa City music venues welcome them with open arms. The band has performed at Blue Moose Tap House in the past and will be performing at Gabe’s after their tour mates Seaway, Sorority Noise and Head North.
