Potential First Lady Jane Sanders, the wife of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, will be in Iowa City today to meet with caucus-goers who are feeling the Bern.
The meeting, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today at the Iowa City headquarters of the Sanders’ campaign, at 702 South Gilbert St.
The event is one of many that Ms. Sanders, a former president of Burlington College in Vermont, has planned for today, including in Muscatine and Davenport.
Tonight, the candidate himself will attend a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, at the Veterans Memorial Building.
Sanders is currently trailing Hillary Clinton in Iowa polls of likely voters, but he has a slight lead over her in New Hampshire, the second primary election in the nation.
