
The 2014 Iowa Arts Festival kicks off this Friday, June 6 in downtown Iowa City. The weekend-long festival plays host to more than 125 local and national artists, with nightly live music and a variety of food options available on Culinary Row. A full rundown of participating artists is available through Summer of the Arts.
This year’s youth offerings include an Emerging Artists Pavilion for student-artists, a Global Village for children to learn about various countries and cultures, as well as a “Children’s Day” celebration on Saturday that promises 18 booths of hands-on kids’ activities.
Notable music performances include the Indigo Girls, local stalwart Dave Moore and the ever-popular Eufรณrquestra. Check out the full festival schedule below:
