Event Photos: Iowa City Fireworks Display – 7/3

As Jazz Fest came to a close and the sun went down, the sky lit up. The annual July 4th fireworks created beautiful flashes in the sky and lots of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ on the ground. This was my first time shooting fireworks with a DSLR camera, but luckily the show was long enough for me to figure out what I was doing so that I could capture some lovely images to share with you all. I took a lot of photos, threw out many, but there are still quite a few for you to look through. This weekend, I hope you got to see this wasteful, beautiful celebration of our nation’s independence, eat some BBQ, drink some beers and spend time with people that make you smile. I did.
