Etgar Keret lecture

UI’s Art Building West (Room 240) — Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The Creative Matters Series returns with a lecture featuring Israeli writer Etgar Keret this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Iowa’s Art Building West (Room 240). Considered a leading voice of young Israel, Keret is a prolific writer and has won several literary awards including the Book Publishers Association’s Platinum Prize, the Chevalier medallion of France’s Order of Arts and Letters, New Zealand’s Prime Minister’s Prize and Israel’s Ministry of Culture’s Cinema Prize. His work has been published in over thirty languages.

The Creative Matters lecture series is an effort led by the University of Iowa Office of Research and Development to show that creativity is at the core of all research and discovery. The lectures feature a diverse lineup of speakers who challenge conventional thinking about the arts, creativity and science.
