Don’t fret about holiday shopping! Local artists have you covered and will be selling their goods at crafts fairs in the Iowa City area throughout December. Check out one, or all of them: Each is sure to offer something different to help you check off that gift-giving list.

Prelude to Christmas

Amana Colonies
Dec. 5-7, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Free)

This weekend, the Amana Colonies will transform for Christmas, with a cookie walk, Christmas Haus Tours and many more events. Shop crafty at the Amana Church Christmas Bazaar.

Arts and Crafts Bazaar

Iowa City Public Library Meeting Room A (123 S. Linn St.)
Dec. 6, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Free)

Shop and spend for a good cause this Saturday. Quilts, holiday decor and wreaths available for sale will provide the essentials to keep the holiday season warm and festive. All sales will be used to support library programs and collections.

Junior League Holiday Bazaar

World Market Theatre (314 Third Ave. SE)
Dec. 6, 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. ($5)

Show some love this holiday season by joining the Junior League of Cedar Rapids at their 2nd Annual Holiday Bazaar. Proceeds go to support JLCR’s programs and Partnership for Safe Families. The first 100 people through the door will receive a goodie bag.

Craft and Fancy

Home Ec. Workshop (207 N. Linn St.)
Dec. 6, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Free)

Home Ec. Workshop hosts its 7th Annual Craft and Fancy fair. Hunt for local artists’ handmade items at the fair.

Holiday Thieves’ Market and Annual Wine Tasting

Dec. 6 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Dec. 7 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Free)

Over 100 artists from across the Midwest gather at the IMU this weekend for the annual art exhibition and market. Wine Tasting will be held Dec. 6 from 12-2 p.m.

Not Your Mother’s Craft Fair

Urban Holiday Pop-Up

All ye cool kids, rejoice! Urbanity is opening its Holiday Pop-Up store this weekend. Local artists will sell their paintings, home decor, cards and journals.

Eastside Artists Holiday Show

Masonic Lodge IC (312 E. College St.)
Dec. 12 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Dec. 13-14 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Free)

A group of 12 local artists and nine guest artists will showcase and sell their works the 22nd Annual Eastside Artists Holiday Show. Look for personalized calligraphy art by Cheryl Jacobsen for one-of-a-kind gifts. Illustrated cards, prints, calendars by Claudia McGehee, children’s book author and illustrator, will be great presents for both adults and kids.

Holiday Market

Iowa City Marketplace (1660 Sycamore St.)
Dec. 13, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Free)

The Holiday Market will bring together artists and farmers for this one-day event. Find crafts, holiday gift items and fresh produce all handmade or homegrown.

Cedar Rapids Indoor Holiday Market and Craft Bazaar

Hawkeye Downs Expo Center (4400 6th St. SW, Cedar Rapids)
Dec. 13, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. (Free)

Nineteen vendors will gather to sell their products, ranging from one-of-a-kind jewelry and makeup products.

Holiday Artist Pop-Up Shop presented by Little Village

Motley Cow Cafe (160 N. Linn St.)
Dec. 14, 4-6 p.m. (Free)

A small group of local artists will set up shop for two hours. Expect to find vintage furs; handmade, all natural perfumes; artwork, jewelry and even artisan marshmallows.
