Daytrotter Downs
Various locations, Davenport — Feb. 17-20

Daytrotter Downs, the Quad City music fest organized to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the acclaimed music recording website Daytrotter, will feature dozens of bands and artists this week from Feb. 17-20 in Davenport.
Billed as a “gathering of the next thoroughbreds,” the title of the the fest is a nod to the now-shuttered Quad City Downs, a horse track that closed last year in East Moline.
Last month, Daytrotter opened a new venue (324 Brady St.) across the river from its original Rock Island recording studio in downtown Davenport.
The building, which sat vacant for over a year while Daytrotter’s owner haggled with building contractors about details of the construction deal, is a performance venue and recording studio and one of the few of its kind in the nation.
Daytrotter Downs starts tonight with a show featuring Minneapolis hip-hop star Lizzo. Opening acts Sister Wife and Tunde Olaniran also share the bill.
Four-day (six event) festival passes are still available, though some individual shows are already sold out.
