The event will feature autumnal activities, crafts and snacks including a nature scavenger hunt and scarecrow building workshop. There is a limit of one armature per family, and all basic supplies will be provided, but families are encouraged to bring clothing or costumes to decorate their scarecrow.

All scarecrows built on Sunday will be featured in Brucemoreโ€™s annual Scarecrow Invasion display, which will be visible to the public on the lawn of the mansion from Oct. 13-28. Visitors can then vote on their favorite creations.

Admission costs $7-10 per child, with one free accompanying adult per child.

Erin McMeen is Little Village's production manager. Her cat is her best friend.
