When Born of Osiris perform at their all-ages show at the Blue Moose Tap House, they’ll be bringing something that Iowa City rarely gets to see: Great metal from some young guys with a national imprint. Their sound is essentially progressive metal song structures, nice heavy vocals and enough guitar athleticism to make your local “cool guy” blush. But for a band with such metal ability, their use of synthesizer is actually an unexpected (and welcome) point of interest. Born of Osiris has a sound that, while heavy, will keep your interest piqued.
