It’s time for a mea culpa. Once in a great while we here at LV make a mistake. In our June issue (which just hit the stands), we made such an error, running the wrong ad for The Mill. So, first a public apology, but second, we thought you should know that its a great month at The Mill. Among the usual eclectic selection of good bands come some excellent shows.
A few highlights:
– June 3, John Vanderslice – self-described “sloppy hi-fi” rocker
– June 12, Pieta Brown – Iowa’s own folk-rock queen
– June 16, Deer Tick – Rolling Stone’s #1 breakout band from SXSW
– June 19, JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound – blues, funk and soul from Chicago
– June 26, House of Large Sizes – Iowa rock legends
– June 27, Meat Puppets – rock heroes with a newly released disc
So help us make good on our mess-up and catch one of these shows in June, you’ll be glad you did.
