A fundraiser for the Mission Creek Festival will be held this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Big Grove Brewery’s Iowa City location. Admission is $50 ($35 of which is tax deductible), and Mission Creek is also offering “experience packages” in conjunction with the fundraiser, which can be added to your ticket purchase or bought independently, for those who can’t attend on Thursday.

The packages, put together by local partners, range in cost from $80-$500, and include dinner for four with wine pairings, offered by Pullman Bar and Diner, Saint Burch, Cobble Hill and Rapid Creek Cidery, a brunch for four option at Deluxe Cakes and Pastries, theater tickets at Riverside Theatre and an exclusive package for the 2018 GARP Festival at Codfish Hollow. All package options are limited quantity.

Thursday’s fundraiser will feature a performance by Squirrel Flower, the project of Boston musician Ella Williams, who is currently based in Grinnell, Iowa. Squirrel Flower, who was one of the 2016 Iowa Music Project honorees, will be playing the Mission Creek Festival this year. She opens for Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and Julien Baker at Gabe’s on April 7.

The fundraiser will also feature a buffet meal with selections by Big Grove head chef Benjamin Smart, including new menu items, and select complimentary beverages. In addition to hosting its fundraiser, Big Grove is also Mission Creek Festival’s beer sponsor.

Festival passes and individual tickets for Mission Creek 2018 are available now. Everyone attending Thursday’s fundraiser will be entered into a drawing for a pair of weekend passes.
