Bask in sexual tension this Saturday at the Englert

Rocky Horror!
Transsexuals from Transylvania are welcome to attend.

The Englert Theatre will be hosting its annual Halloween screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, October 26 at 11:59 p.m. The midnight screening marks an unspoken annual tradition of sorts for the Englert, who are presenting this year’s show as part of a collaboration with Comics in Action.

With the purchase of a ticket, guests will be given a prop bag that includes “everything you need to have a good time,” the Englert says. Longtime fans of the show and its legacy can probably make a few guesses here, though the Englert seems keen on providing materials that don’t destroy the interiors of historic buildings (good idea). Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costume as well, so bust out those pink wigs and improvised hunchback harnesses.

Things tend to get a little raucous at these Rocky Horror screenings (as indicated by the Englert’s “Please don’t bring hot dogs” disclaimer), so if you’re a wily, sexually-repressed Rocky Horror fan who somehow hasn’t been to a midnight showing, consider this your prime opportunity of the year. It’s nearly Halloween, after all!
