My name is Sergio Flores. I am a documentary photographer and freelance photojournalist currently based in Austin, Texas. Being Mexican-American, it was really important to me to contribute to the conversations around issues that relate to people like me, or people who look like me … to look for moments that contain humanity. Little Village is a free, independent and community-supported news, arts and culture publication based in Iowa City and covering communities throughout Eastern and Central Iowa. Little Village's free print magazine is distributed to over 800 pickup locations around the state, and paywall-free online stories are published daily.
