Des Moines CityView reported today that Donald Trump is founding fraternity houses at the University of Iowa and Iowa State University.

Written by Doug Burns, a “fourth-generation” newsperson and the co-owner of Carroll, Iowa’s Daily Times Herald, the article is an April Fools’ Day prank.

“Two key features of the Trump Fraternity: a strict no-dating-fellow-students policy and a prohibition on alcohol use,” the articles states.

In made-up quotes from Trump, Burns captured the voice of the billionaire and reality television star: “’This beer-bong business, doing shots, things like that, at fraternities is for total losers, complete low-energy types,’” he has Trump saying. “Those Greek frats are for absolute disasters like the Bushes and Little Marco.’”

Burns is famous for being the man who predicted that then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin would be John McCain’s pick for vice-president in 2008. And Burns picked her over two months before McCain announced her as running mate, before most had even heard the name Sarah Palin.

“… Of all the candidates under consideration to ride shotgun with the Arizona senator, Palin brings the most to McCain,” he wrote in June 2008.

This election cycle, Burns has predicted another woman as a vice-president candidate, this time on Hillary Clinton’s ticket. Burns thinks Hillary Clinton’s best bet is Elizabeth Warren, according to a column he wrote last month for the Daily Times Herald.

“The longer Sanders holds even a loose reach on viability for the nomination, the more likely Warren is as Clinton’s vice presidential selection,” he wrote, “Is there any Democrat who would generate as much excitement as Warren? No. Clinton needs the injection of such freshness.”
