The 10th annual Blues & BBQ kicks off Saturday, July 9 at 12 p.m.

North Liberty’s Blues & BBQ will celebrate 10 years in its familiar always free, family-friendly fashion on Saturday, July 9. In addition to mouth-watering barbecue (and funnel cakes), this year’s event will feature five blues-inspired artists including headliner St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Music lovers can join musician Kevin Burt on a side stage for intimate jam sessions between main-stage acts. The fun begins at noon in Centennial Park (1565 St. Andrews Dr.).

Children will have a variety of entertainment options — from craft-making in the EverydayArts Pavillion to bouncing through inflatable obstacle courses with Front Porch Playground — to choose from. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy some Iowa craft beer in the Veridian Credit Union beverage garden.

Bringing blankets, lawn chairs and friends is highly encouraged, but make sure to leave pets, cigarettes (and anything of the kind), coolers and outside alcohol at home, as those are prohibited.
