A small, sweaty basement seems like the most appropriate place to give Supersonic Piss a proper sendoff. Last night, the group was joined by Iowa City’s own Stiff Ride, along with touring bands Death Drive and Stillsuit from Oakland, California. I missed Stiff Ride’s set, mostly because of my own impatience.
Death Drive and Stillsuit both played solid sets, but this night was about bidding farewell to the mighty SSP. This was the biggest, baddest basement set I’ve ever seen. It was a madhouse. Thanks for all the fun shows, and the hearing loss. Supersonic Piss will be missed.
