The Mission Creek Festival announced today that actress and artist Isabella Rossellini has canceled her appearance at this year’s festival due to a personal conflict.
According to festival organizers, Rossellini will be coming to Iowa City at a later date, though nothing has been confirmed at this time. On Thursday, Jan. 22, Mission Creek will announce which artist will replace Rossellini at this year’s festival.
Rossellini was slated to perform Green Porno Live, a theatrical adaptation of Rosellini’s Green Porno television series in which she humorously discusses and depicts the mating rituals of various animals. Green Porno is in its third season on the Sundance Channel, and was adapted last year for the stage. Ovation TV announced last December that it acquired the premiere rights for a documentary special on Rosselini’s live performances, which will debut in Spring 2015.
