Crowded Closet (1213 Gilbert Ct.), is an Iowa City nonprofit thrift and international gift store that has been operated by area Mennonites since 1978. It’s a familiar stop for many Iowa City thrifters, but some might not realize that all of Crowded Closet’s profits are donated in support of aid organizations — some across the street, and others around the world.
